We were presenting our posters, learning about advances in health economics and outcomes research and meeting up with our clients.

We presented two posters, one looking at acceptance of new products by the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC)  and the role of Patient Access Schemes (PAS). Over the last decade, the use of PAS has increased. Around 60% of submissions accepted by the SMC in the past 3 years have received their acceptance by virtue of a PAS.

The other poster considered the cost impact of patient flow software in an NHS acute Trust. Our budget impact assessment revealed that, over the 5-year period in which the software was used, net savings of £50.8m were accrued in one Trust.
