Burden of Disease Modelling |
|
Burden of disease models establish the need
for your product in a responsible and resource focused fashion.
|
The
first step in establishing a need for a new agent is to characterise
the disease area itself. This will require identification of disease
prevalence, incidence, morbidity and mortality, as well as an
appraisal of the resource impact of current management paradigms. By
then placing the new proposal within this model, one can make a
reasoned case for its adoption. This approach is particularly
valuable where a disease attracts little priority, or where the new
therapy offers a substantial clinical or safety benefit.
JBM's
burden of disease
models identify the scope for opportunity beyond the established market in a
fashion aligned to product strategy, and will provide access to key non-prescribing
service commissioners.
