Referencing service

Outsourcing to our referencing service allows you to focus on marketing your product,

in the knowledge that JBM will ensure that your materials will proceed through medical-legal

approval swiftly and efficiently.

Your references have arrived and what can I say but that they are magnificent. Thanks so much to you and the team for your wonderful job - so neat and thorough.

External Affairs, Top 10 Pharma

JB Medical's attention to detail is second to none and sometimes I wonder if checking their material is necessary at all. I would have confidence in recommending JB Medical as a superb source for all your reference materials.

Medical/Legal Officer, Top 10 Pharma

As part of its service to clients, JBM has always provided fully marked-up, comprehensive reference packs for medical-legal approval. Our expertise ensures that packs are accurate and compliant with ABPI/MHRA processes thus facilitating smooth approval.

Recognising the strain this time-consuming but fundamental task creates, JBM now provide this facility as a stand-alone service, even on projects that we have not originated in-house. For example, materials written by other agencies, by clinicians or by the International arm of your company.

If you are a Product Manager under timeline pressures, or an agency with little experience of medical referencing, you can outsource your referencing needs to JBM, thus freeing you up to focus on other tasks demanding your attention.

We can provide the following services:

  • Sourcing and ordering full text references. We can supply all references that you require, or simply locate any that are currently missing.

  • Fully marked up reference packs with cover sheets. These can be provided in your own house-style or using our generic cover sheets, and can be provided as hard copy and/or electronically.

  • Rationales to explain any statistical/mathematical calculations within the reference pack.

  • Literature searches for relevant papers and/or unreferenced statements.

  • Provision/summarising of data on file to a standard that can be sent out to a health care professional when requested.

  • Anglicising copy and provision of UK-specific data.

  • Proof-reading to company house style.

  • Supervision through the medical-legal approval process.

  • Checking/re-referencing updated projects.

  • Checking that your project is in accordance with the ABPI code of practice.
